What Does the £350 Company Fee Include?

We are committed to keeping the Midland Youth Ballet Touring Company as affordable as possible while providing young dancers with a high-quality, professional performance experience.

The £350 participation fee for Swan Lake performance at the Derby Theatre is fully inclusive and covers:

​

* All costumes required for the production, including multiple costumes and costume changes where applicable.
* All rehearsals – with each rehearsal lasting approximately four hours, the cost works out at around £30 per rehearsal.
* Professional training and classes throughout the rehearsal process.
* Professional staff costs, including the team involved in teaching, rehearsing and producing the performance.
* Chaperone costs to ensure appropriate supervision and safeguarding of our young company members.
* Studio hire for the rehearsal programme.
* Theatre hire and associated production costs for bringing the company to the stage.

The fee is designed to give dancers much more than simply the opportunity to appear in a performance. Company members receive professional training, extensive rehearsal experience and the opportunity to perform as part of a full-scale ballet production, with all major roles entrusted to dancers aged 7–17.
