I am a ballet teacher, choreographer and Artistic Director with more than 31 years of experience in classical ballet training and performance. I completed my full-time professional training at the West Street School in Covent Garden and with the Royal Academy of Dance. During my training, I had the privilege of being taught by the renowned David Wall, one of Britain’s most celebrated Principal Dancers, the youngest dancer to achieve Principal status with The Royal Ballet, and a distinguished partner of Dame Margot Fonteyn.

 

Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to inspiring young dancers of all ages and abilities, combining technical excellence with a genuine passion for nurturing confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of dance. My commitment to high standards and inclusive training has helped hundreds of students develop not only as skilled dancers but also as confident, resilient young people.

 

As Principal of the Stephanie Parrott School of Dance, I have created a welcoming environment where children from two years of age through to adults receive exceptional dance training in a supportive, encouraging and professional atmosphere. Many of my students have progressed to vocational training, professional dance careers and successful teaching roles.

 

I am the Founder and Artistic Director of the Midland Youth Ballet, established in 2004 to provide young dancers with the invaluable experience of performing full-length classical ballets in professional theatres. The company has become renowned for producing high-quality performances while ensuring these opportunities remain accessible through affordable participation.

 

Building on this success, I launched the Midland Youth Ballet Touring Company, extending these opportunities to talented dancers from across the United Kingdom. The Touring Company brings together young performers from a wide range of dance schools to train professionally and perform in prestigious theatres, creating unforgettable experiences, lifelong friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

 

My productions are recognised for their artistic integrity, strong storytelling and commitment to developing every dancer’s individual potential. I believe that performing on stage builds confidence, discipline, teamwork and resilience - qualities that benefit young people in every aspect of life.

 

My vision remains simple: to inspire the next generation of dancers by providing exceptional training, outstanding performance opportunities and an environment where every young person is encouraged to believe in themselves and achieve their full potential.
